Director of Sales Job Description
The purpose of this position is to participate in the leadership of the organization and supervise all sales activities in both the Landscape and Gardening Departments.

Director of Sales Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Reflect GreenWeaver’s core values of Quality, People, and Environmental Stewardship in all aspects of work.
  • Oversee all aspects of Design, Landscape, and Gardening Sales.
  • Build and train a high-performance team and supportive culture, directly managing and training Salespersons, Designers, and Estimator
  • Inspect Design and Sales Processes, monitor quality and develop plans for improvement.
  • Supervise client communication, ensuring a clear, positive, and timely experience.
  • Develop sales budgets and goals; review, assist and hold staff accountable to meet sales metrics.
  • Lead weekly Sales Meetings, attend inter-departmental and other meetings, and contribute to topics at hand.
  • Review won and lost contracts, analyze job profitability, and enact changes to ensure profit margins are met.
  • Assist with estimating and contract language to protect client and company.
  • Troubleshoot daily sales issues, ensuring uninterrupted delivery of services and maximizing profitability.
  • Investigate and resolve sales or design related customer complaints or concerns to the satisfaction of the client while protecting the company.
  • Evaluate pricing and authorize any adjustments to profit margin and/or markup.
  • Actively seek and participate in networking and relationship development in the interest of generating future business.
  • Coordinate with other departments within the organization to ensure that company needs are met in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Look for and suggest companywide improvements aligned with Core Values.
  • Keep up to date on ecological landscape industry trends and best practices, implementing new techniques as appropriate.
  • Identify, evaluate, propose, and develop new target markets.
